When Move-on.org needed help, they came to Carole Migden. She passed a Senate resolution, making California the first state in the nation to formally oppose the surge of troops in Iraq. |

Carole Migden strengthened the Confidentiality of Medical Information Act and wrote a law giving patients the right to an independent review when HMOs deny services. She also wrote laws for HIV testing and treatment programs. |

Carole’s “Safe Cosmetics Law” won national recognition for requiring that cosmetic manufacturers disclose cancer causing agents. To ensure consumers can make informed choices about nutrition, Carole has developed legislation to require clear labeling of food products derived from cloned animals. |
